Overview

If you're in the Redwood City area and craving authentic Mexican cuisine, Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is a must-visit spot. Located at 2098 Broadway, this cozy eatery serves up a mix of traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes, perfect for anyone looking to indulge in flavorful meals and a welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant’s menu is a celebration of Mexican flavors, featuring everything from sizzling fajitas to rich enchiladas and crispy tacos. One of the standout dishes here is the grilled chicken fajitas. Served with a side of guacamole, sour cream, and warm tortillas, it’s a perfect example of how Margaritas Mexican Restaurant brings bold flavors to every bite. The chicken is tender, the seasoning just right, and the vegetables are perfectly sautéed, making it a crowd favorite. If you're a fan of spice, their signature salsa offers just the right kick, bringing together freshness and heat without overpowering the other flavors.

For those who love seafood, their shrimp tacos are a hit. Lightly battered and fried to perfection, they’re served with a tangy lime crema and a crunchy slaw. It’s an ideal dish if you're looking for something a little different but still rooted in authentic Mexican traditions. Pair it with a cold margarita, and you’ve got yourself a fantastic meal.

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant also prides itself on its family-friendly environment. Whether you’re dining with friends or bringing the kids, the restaurant offers something for everyone. The staff is attentive and quick to recommend dishes based on your preferences, and they’re happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or special requests. If you're not sure what to try, their house-made guacamole is a great starter. Creamy, with a slight tang and just the right amount of seasoning, it’s a refreshing way to kick off your meal.

The drink menu deserves its own mention. Margaritas are, of course, the highlight, with a variety of flavors available. The classic margarita is always a good choice, but if you’re feeling adventurous, try the mango or strawberry margarita, which offer a sweet twist to the traditional drink. The bar also offers an impressive selection of tequilas, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

One of the best things about Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is its location. Situated in the heart of Redwood City, it’s a great spot for a casual night out or a festive celebration. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a laid-back dinner or celebrate a special occasion, the ambiance is inviting and vibrant. The colorful decor, combined with the delicious food and drinks, makes every visit feel like a little escape to Mexico.

We sat on the their outdoor patio. It is really beautifully appointed. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We are vegetarians so food options were limited but what we ordered was tasty. I would recommend this place.

Good food. Wish there are more varieties. My father loves this place. Each time we went, there’s different types of customers. Has indoor and outdoor seatings. Clean bathroom for the customers. Looks like a good place for business, casual dining, and families. Service is too slow to what I’m used to. It is located around the corner of a public parking lot so it’s a walkable distance. The last time we went, the street is blocked off for a special event so lots of people walking around, making it lively.

Big plates, friendly service and tasty food. We tried Margaritas' horchata tonight and we all loved it. And the outdoor seating makes the experience fabulous. Plenty of indoor seating too. We'll be back soon.

Nice large portions for a decent price. Very friendly staff, nice outside seating. The ceviche dish was way larger than most other places I visited (usually you get a small cup). Interior is very interesting, with paintings, photos and decorations.

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have higher reviews!!!! Super flavorful and veeery generous servings, the owner has great service and is so kind. The burrito was $15, two of us shared it and were full, and the quesadilla is only $6 for happy hour ($6 each- margarita, quesadilla, nachos, taquitos from 3-5pm on weekdays). My friend and I both really enjoyed the meal. Has outdoor seating too. Would definitely come back and highly recommend!!
